The Center is assembling a national consortium of researchers from the fields of mental health services research, sociology, economics, anthropology, and criminology/criminal justice that is dedicated to conducting state-of-the-art mental health services and criminal justice research.

Researcher affiliates of the Center are organized into multidisciplinary teams and partnered with practice experts in system operations. Each research project supported by the Center has a multidisciplinary-practice team. These teams develop and implement theoretically rigorous and practice sensitive studies of cross-cutting mental health services and criminal justice policy and practice questions.

Research affiliates are currently drawn from the following universities:

Rutgers University - Camden, New Brunswick and Newark campuses
University of Massachusetts Medical School
University of Cambridge
University of Maryland
University of Massachusetts-Boston
University of Miami School of Law
University of Pennsylvania
University of South Florida
Harvard University
Oregon Health Sciences University
Pennsylvania State University
University of Colorado

The Center actively recruits junior and senior researchers to participate in center-sponsored research activities.
